End User License Agreement

By licensing, downloading or using our Fonts (computer software containing representations of typeface designs, as well as related software and materials), you agree to be bound by the terms of this agreement.

This End User License Agreement (EULA) is a legal agreement made between Show Me Fonts / Bernd Volmer, Zossener Strasse 7, 10961 Berlin, Germany (from now on referred to as “Show Me Fonts” or “We”), and the end user/license owner (from now on referred as “You”).

Show Me Fonts grants to you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Fonts according to the terms and conditions outlined in this end user license agreement. This license is limited to the company and the company size (as defined in “Company Size” below) specified in your purchase.

We understand that keeping track of page views or font installations can be tedious and time-consuming. That’s why our metrics solely focusses on company size. Company size is determined by the total number of people working for your company or the company that is licensing the Fonts, including part time and temporary staff.

Desktop License:

The Desktop License allows you to install and use the Fonts on all of your “computers”. You may use the Fonts to create any type of design, including but not limited to layouts, logos, social media posts, titles for videos, products, prints, and digital designs. If you want to share the Fonts with third parties working on your behalf, you can do so by purchasing a Subcontractor Add-On. Web License:

The Web License allows you to use the Fonts on websites and digital platforms only. You are not permitted to use the Fonts for desktop design purposes or distribute the Fonts without the Subcontractor Add-On.

App and Game License:

The App and Game License allows you to include the Fonts in apps and games. You are not permitted to use the Fonts for desktop design purposes or distribute the Software without the Subcontractor Add-On.

Subcontractor Add-On:

The Subcontractor Add-On allows you to share the Fonts with specific collaborators such as freelancers that work on the same project.

Trial License:

A trial license, which is free and includes the complete character set and OpenType features. It allows you to test and use our trial fonts and to evaluate if you want to buy a license. If you’re a designer, you can also use trial fonts to pitch design directions to your clients.

Educational License:

The Educational License allows students and teachers to purchase fonts at a 50% educational discount and use the fonts for non-commercial projects. Students are also permitted to use the fonts for commercial projects during their studies. After completing their studies, students may continue using the fonts for personal projects. For client work after graduation, a separate commercial license is required, which can be purchased by either the client or the former student in the client’s name. Email us your student ID / teacher ID.

Our Fonts are the intellectual property of Show Me Fonts and are protected by copyright law. You acknowledge that we own and retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the Fonts, including all intellectual property rights.

Your rights to use the Fonts will end automatically if you fail to comply with any of the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement and you will have to immediately cease all use of our Fonts and delete all copies of the Fonts. You agree to pay all costs and expenses incurred by Show Me Fonts, including but not limited to legal fees, investigation costs, and legal settlements.

You cannot modify, adapt, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works based on our Fonts.

You cannot use the design or internal data of the Fonts for the training of artificial intelligence (AI) models or tools.

You cannot use our Fonts in any political or religious context without first obtaining our permission. We believe in respecting all beliefs and viewpoints, and we reserve the right to refuse permission if we feel that your use of our Fonts may be inappropriate or offensive.

We ask that you do not use our Fonts to promote or incite violence, hate speech, discrimination, or any other form of harmful behavior. We believe in creating a world where everyone can feel safe and respected, and we reserve the right to refuse service if we feel that your use of our Fonts goes against these values.

You are not allowed to make new Fonts based on the design that’s in our Fonts. We believe that every designer should be able to express their own creativity, and we want to make sure that our Fonts are used in a way that respects our work and our vision.

You cannot embed our Fonts in a way that end users can access them, as this could allow others to use our Fonts without a license. We want to make sure that our Fonts are used only by those who have purchased a valid license.

You may not give our Fonts to anyone without a copy of this contract. We want to ensure that all users of our Fonts are aware of their rights and responsibilities, and we ask that you share this contract with anyone who will be using our Fonts.

Please do not put our Fonts on public servers or in public repositories, as this could allow others to use our Fonts without a license. We want to make sure that our Fonts are used only by those who have purchased a valid license.

You may not distribute our Fonts to any third parties without purchasing the appropriate sublicensing add-on.

The Software is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including, but not limited to, the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Fonts will meet your requirements or that the operation of the Fonts will be uninterrupted or error-free.

You agree that we are not liable, even if it was caused by us, the Fonts, or the use of the Fonts. If it ever turns out that we are actually liable, our liability shall be limited to the refund of the license fee received from you. The remaining costs shall remain with you.

We understand that our Fonts are an important part of your creative work, and we're here to help if you encounter any difficulties. If you experience any issues with our Fonts, please don’t hesitate to contact us by email for assistance.

This contract is the entire agreement between us and supersedes any prior agreements or discussions. It may only be modified with our written agreement.

If any part of this contract is found to be unenforceable, the rest of the contract remains valid and the unenforceable part will be replaced with something that is enforceable.

If we waive a right or allow something once, that doesn't mean we will do it again.

This contract is governed by German law and any legal proceedings or disputes will take place in Berlin, Germany.

The "United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods" and the "United Nations Convention on the Law Applicable to International Sales of Goods" do not apply to this contract, nor do any conflict of law principles.

You are responsible for any taxes that accrue in your country, including any withholding taxes, and we will not deduct them from your payments to us.
